The 2011 season has been a great one for ironguides. We are very proud of all our athletes who stepped up to the plate with the decision to try their first triathlon, up the distance or commit to lift their performance to a new level. Eleven of our athletes certainly stepped up to the plate as they competed in the Ironman World Championships last month. While all ironguides athletes did superb in Kona, the podium spot for Luiz Topan with a 9:17 finish stands out. Topan excelled following the ironguides philosophy of improving one step at a time or, as we like to call it, brick by brick. As many of us are entering the off-season, ask yourself which step you'd like to take in 2012. Coach Alun 'Woody' Woodward offers superb advice on ways to optimize your off-season. Don't forget to check out ironguides' great off-season training plans, too. "
