A slew of ironguides PBs including in Clearwater, Florida

More podiums and PB's this weekend from ironguides athletes, including at the 70.3 World Championship in Clearwater, Florida where several athletes improved on last year's times by 12 and 11 minutes respectively! That's a huge haircut when it means going from 4:04 to 3:52 on the same course, on what is already the fastest half Ironman race on the planet.

Csoke Balazs also competed in the Ironman World Championship 70.3, finishing as 44th male pro with a time of 3hrs52mins. Csoke made the trip to Clearwater for the third year running. Following a great block of training we were looking for a solid result and improvement on last year’s race. Csoke managed to finish 12 minutes faster and set a new personal best time for the distance despite an unfortunate bike crash just 100 meters before the second transition. Csoke has made big changes this year as he has started to supplement his professional triathlon career with a job. It’s great to see that with our training he has continued to go faster despite other demands in his life. Onwards to Phuket!

Chris Huff also raced the Ironman World Championship 70.3 in Clearwater, Florida. This ironguides athlete finished in 4hrs17mins, setting a PB by a whopping 11 minutes.

In Huntsville, Alabama, ironguides athletes took to the road on a beautiful fall day for the Huntsville half marathon and the Heroes 5km. Sherry Bowman used this day to test the endurance that she has been building up in the past three months. She broke her previous PR by a good margin with a time of 1hr55mins. Her hard work will really pay off next month at the Rocket City Marathon.

Jodi Bump used the day to work on her long run strategy. She treated this day as a training run with aid stations and clocked a 1hr49mins for the Huntsville half marathon. Not bad for a training day and  finishing with a big smile.

In Rayong, Thailand, ironguides athletes raced the Thailand National Championships which offers an Olympic distance event as well as a Sprint. Naomi Cookson finished a solid second in the F25-29 age group and Richard Ferre placed a stellar second in the M40-44 age group. Stephane DeBaets completed the race with a fantastic 16-minute PB.
