ironguides at Boys' Town
ironguides Coach Shem Leong ran an inspiring brick training session for 40 (!) boys of Boys' Town ranging from 12 to 16 years old.

Last Saturday, 3 ironguides athletes and myself ran a brick training for 40 boys of Boys' Town, preparing for the OSIM Triathlon Sprint and Mini distances.
These boys, who range in ages from 12 to 16, are "at risk" juvenile offenders, some of them orphans, picked up by social workers for rehabilitation. Boys' Town offers them a caring and understanding environment to channel their energy positively.
Needless to say, we all had a great time, inspite of some over-active jellyfish! The boys enjoyed full support with two aid stations on the multi-loop swim/run course that took them through some very pretty scenery (a huge beach volleyball gathering at the run turn-around).
Thank you Mike, Elvia and Olivier for your help! We were truely blessed to give back to the community through the sport that we love- it was clearly a case of "better to give than to receive" and we'd do it again any day!
