Camps will be based out of the Hotel Mohrenwirt. Hotel Manager Jakob Schmidlechner is also on his journey toward Ironman Austria 2011 and you can be sure the whole hotel is set to give you all that’s needed to train hard and relax in between those sessions!
We will be offering the following camps:
* Cycle tours of the region
* Ironman Specific Camp - 3-5 weeks before the European Ironman season
* Open Water Swim Camp to include the Fuschl Crossing swim race - 4.2km
* Individual or group camps can also be organised on request
The set-up at Fuschl is perfect for triathlon with a 12km running trail taking you around the lake and endless good quality cycling roads that offer a great mix of flat riding and challenging mountainous terrain. The lakes in the region are crystal clear and in combination with the stunning pool at Fuschl Seebad, we will ensure that everyone leaves with a new and improved open-water swim technique.
Recently we used the location for a two-week camp with Massimo Cigana and worked on developing specific open-water technique. His improved swim will help to bring him exit the water close to the front at the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii next month so that he can truly demonstrate his cycling and run ability - watch out for a great performance this year from Massimo after the superb technical progress he has made in his swimming.
