Here's a few things to keep in mind to speed recovery from injury and use the layoff to improve your preparation for your next race day -- regardless of any short-term setbacks!

  • Work your weakness in the non-affected sports
  • Skip the intensity for a bit and take an easy training break
  • Stick to a great diet
  • Stay mobile but keep your training efforts light
  • Don't come back to soon - be patient and look ahead
  • Organize your gear for brighter days ahead
  • Get things done that you've put off due to training commitments and free up time for later
  • Plan and organize your races and season
  • Take an active holiday to remain positive and motivated
