Training all winter in London, Ontario, Ryan set his new PB only a week after moving to his new home and job in Tucson, Arizona. Combining these demands and a full-time job makes Ryan's performance all the more impressive.

Ryan started training with ironguides u
nder the direction of ironguides Head Coach Marc Becker in February 2008. Coming into ironguides, Ryan had a history of knee injuries and three operations. His tendency was to avoid treadmill running and keep his training high volume. Under The Method training plan tailored to his schedule and ability, Ryan responded quickly and knocked it out of the park over the weekend, securing his 2008 Hawaii Ironman qualifying spot and 3rd overall in the Men's 30-34 Age Group.

Congratulations Ryan! See you in Kona!
