Cycling Hill Climbing 101

Join us for a three-day Cycling Climbing Camp in the Alpes Maritimes. Dotting the mountains behind Nice are some of the most spectacular climbs in the world and some of the most reliable mountain weather to go with them!

Head Coach Marc Becker is a two-time, top-twenty finisher of the Etape du Tour, France's legendary cyclosportif featuring 8500 competitors and the creme-de-la-creme of France's amateur cycling community. Marc will recount tales of climbing daring-do and describe what went into his Etape results and his win in 2002 of the longest, hilliest race on the French cycling calendar -- the Ardechoise Velomarathon, 270km long with over 5200m of cumulative vertical gain! Hear from one of the top coaches in cycling today and experience directly how to improve your hill climbing abilities on a bike.

During Camp you'll hone your climbing skills on some of the local legends such as the col d'Eze and the famous col de la Madonne, written into history as the point where Lance Armstrong launched his comeback from cancer. Test yourself against his record of 30:00 for the 13km, 850m vertical gain!
