Monaco 70.3 Training Camp

This three-day training camp focuses on the specific demands of the Monaco 70.3 triathlon and is also suitable for athletes participating in other 70.3-distance triathlons in the 2008 season. We'll be based near Monaco and will train on the Monaco 70.3 course. A two-time sub-four hour half Ironman himself, Head Coach Marc Becker will share his insights on his favourite distance in multisport.

Cost
275 Euros covers coaching, guiding and lecture materials. A 50% refund is available for any cancellations up to 30 days prior to your Camp. This camp is limited to 8 participants. Minimum 4 participants required. All travel, accommodations and food and beverage expenses are extra. Once you book your Camp, we'll send you an email with further details and a list of what to bring.

What's included
Three days of coached triathlon training and a daily lecture by ironguides Head Coach Marc Becker. Over the course of the weekend we'll discuss topics specific to the half Ironman distance, at a level that is appropriate for newcomers to the distance and experienced athletes alike.
Topics covered will include:
- Understanding the particulars of the 70.3 distance: Not quite Ironman, more than Olympic!
- Nutrition for 70.3 triathlon
- Swim, bike and run skill-specific training
- Pacing for the 70.3 distance
- Building an appropriate 70.3 training plan
- How to taper for and recover from the 70.3 distance
The weekend includes one session of coached training in each sport, and a suggested training plan to maximize your camp experience throughout the weekend. We'll review the 70.3 swim, bike and run course and address each athlete's specific needs to prepare optimally for race day.
Location
We'll base ourselves in Menton, 30 minutes east of Nice and within easy access of the Monaco 70.3 course. Once you have registered for the Camp, we'll send you a list of hotels close to where we convene Camp each day.
Travel
You'll need to book a flight to Nice for arrival Thursday night (or sooner if you prefer). Camp begins Friday at 09:00 and ends Sunday at 16:00.
